TechnicLauncher.exe opens for a split second then shuts off

Description of Problem:

TechnicLauncher.exe opens then shuts off immediatly, Attempted to open in .jar but come in a compressed folder. Extracted the files, but cannot launch the program still. Please Help

The .jar is an archive that happens to be able to be run by Java. If you have WinRAR, it may have associated itself with .jar files. Try right-clicking the "compressed folder" and clicking Run with Java. It's either that, or you downloaded it with Internet Explorer. Don't do that. :)

So Internet Explorer is trash for downloading Technic? What is best to use? Chrome, Firefox ect..

Anything but IE, really. And IE is trash for everything in general, you should drop it anyway.

I personally like Chrome.

=P many say the only use for IE is downloading other browsers... And yeah, Firefox & Chrome are far better. I prefer Chrome as well, just try it out!
