Show motd on join

ok i've set up an motd with essentials, however it only shows up when i type /motd and not when i join? how do i fix this?

same problem. not showing on login but /motd will bring it up.

using:

Tekkit 3.1.2

essentials 2.9.3

pex 1.19.3

it worked with commandbook

I have this issue too, and motd.txt is actually set up properly.

make sure that if you are using a permissions plugin such as PermissionsEX or permissionsBukkit that the players you want to see the motd have 'essentials.motd' in their permissions.

No, not in the slightest, because I already did that.

Just had a problem with this myself, check to see if you are using the correct version of essentials, had to download an older version for 1.2.5, but once i did everything worked perfectly
