launcher not working

I have been trying to load the technic launcher but every time that i click it it starts to load and then stops at 'downloading launcher assets:open sans+cyt0%. Pls help if you know the solution. Sometimes it goes up to one percent and nothing else happens.

Can you get me the latest log from .technic/logs ? Open it, select all the contents and copy it to http://paste.ubuntu.com, fill in the author and hit paste, the site will reload, copy the link (address) and post it here.

The launcher cannot download the needed resources, in this case it's the font.

Seems like your internet connection is not quick/stable enough to download the whole file. Can you download it manually in your browser?

If yes then you should open the launcher and leave it there for 15 minutes so it can download the resources.

If not then something is blocking your internet connection or making it not stable.

Do you have any kind of firewall enabled?

i can download it but i think my video driver is out of date because i cant run minecraft because of the video driver and it stops further on in the download

I have the exact same problem, except mine never gets off 0%, i leave it for hours. I have quick internet speed as well. 1.5 Mb/s. I can download it through the internet as well. I have done everything i can to fix it, i turned all firewalls off, turned everything that could block downloads off, reset my pc to factory defaults and re-installed windows 8 and still nothing.
