Combustion/oil/water

Ello, so i've tried to watch as many vids as i can to learn more, but i'm strugglin with the teleporter to get my oil and water to my refinery. I'm not runnin anyfin electric, just steam engines for my main quarry, but i'd like to convrt the steam engine to combustion. The oil is quite a bit far off, but i thought i could tele it in and then tele the water in to create the fuel/cool the combustion engine. Sorry if i'm a miss, just tryin to learn the tele ports.

Any useful help is much obliged, trolls not need reply.

I just don't know that i need an electrical engine to power the refinery. I had everfin workin from a small pool of oil, but the pool ran out, so i'm tryin to tele the well i found to my quarry to replace the steam engine i got runnin

You haven't actually told us whats not working... is it that you can't teleport it, or something else?

You'd be better off building the combustion engines back at your base, and then teleporting the power. That way you can have a central refinery and power plant, and send power where it's needed from there. It's much easier than setting up combustion engines and their related infrastructure every time you set up a new quarry.

Sorry Wendo, yea the issue i'm having is that i can teleport the oil and water to the tanks down in my quarry. My quarry is just below my water source(ocean) and the oil is on a nearby desert location. What i'm trying to do is bring the oil and water to the refinery to replace the steam engines i've currently got in place. I've got the waterproof pipes in place at both the oil and water remote locations, the remote engines are running, but i'm not getting anything down in the quarry.

@MechaCrash, I would try that, i just don't know how to set it up. I tried playing with a nuclear reactor, but blew up my home base and made a huge crater lol...I'm not worried about crafting the items, i'm having more fun just using the built in item list.

I finally figured it out...i was just putting the waterproof pipes on the pumps and tanks, they obviously weren't pulling anything out, so i put a wooden transport pipe on first, then connected the transport pipes on and viola! I'm now working on getting power to the refinery to make the fuel. I'm still curious about what you had to say Mecha. I'm setting up solar panels and mfsu's, but i'd like to learn how to use the nuclear reactor!
