First off, you shouldn't be running 2 seperate antivirus programs at once...they can conflict and cause ALL KINDS of issues....I would personally just completely remove norton.

Also, try using the 64bit version of java. If you do both of these, it should help immensely. let me know if you need instructions on performing either task! :)

EDIT ah, i just noticed at the end of the log it looks like you did switch to the 64bit version of java? how many different versions do you have total? may want to just remove all versions, and just reinstall the 64bit 7u6

well in the 14 hours, 50 minutes, and 21 seconds between the last 2 runs, it appears that SOMETHING changed...it was my understanding that this boolean was used to identify the bit version of the Java VM that was running...

(Please, someone correct me if I am wrong about the boolean)

Something is definitely going on...

Did you try disabling BOTH of your antiviruses? (I still stand next to removing at least norton...)

and i have never installed any others bit versions that 64.

Your launcher log disagrees with you. It's likely that, in addition to your multiple AV programs, you have multiple copies of Java. What does your Control Panel say?

Oh, and learn to use the Edit button if you want to add something to your posts.

the first 3 times when you start it says: is 64-bit FALSE. the fourth time it says: is 64-bit=TRUE

Not really sure what you two are trying to prove? you are just stating exactly the point i was making to the OP...unless you thought I was the OP? lol That is why i copied those sections of the bug report in my post, and bolded the boolean answers...sorry if this caused any confusion :)

OP, give this a shot, and let us know what happens.

The launcher freezes on a white screen when I log in.

Sometimes the lwjgl (Light Weight Java Games Library) binaries just don't work for everyone.

Disable lwjgl by opening the launcher and clicking "Options" above the log in field. Then uncheck

"Use latest LWJGL binaries".

The latest LWJGL binaries option wasn't/isn't on and I am still getting a white screen.

Might be time to post a bug/problem report. But first, try going to .techniclauncher\"modpack name"\bin

and open the jinput.jar. (on a mac you may have to rename the .jar to .zip and extract it, then rezip

and rename to a .jar after you're done.) Delete Meta-INF. If that doesn't work nuke the .techniclauncher

folder and re-download it.

:zombie::derp: Run! The zombie thread is going to kill me!

Seriously, Techknight, the thread has been dead since August. Let it rest in peace.
