Help!!!

I am using a Linux Laptop(not my choice...) to try and play tekkit. Now, I am unable to delete the META.INF folder, as I believe I need to. How exactly do I do that? I didn't see this question in the "Questions" part of the main page, so I would like help from the community. Please and Thank you. Also, my computer hates me alot, so that is kind of why it is in bold. Sorry.

You don't need to delete the META.INF folder. Tekkit downloads the minecraft.jar from minecraft.net as well as all current mods in the pack, and modifies it for you. And again... ow, my eyes. :/

You somehow booted up the launcher without the launcher knowing where it was so it cant reference its files.....

How the hell...
