Description of Problem:

ok i was making a secret piston door on my server and my pistons exploded and destroyed most of my circuitry. i can find no mention of pistons being able to explode for any reason other than tnt, nuke etc or a creeper none of which were involved.

umm i gotta agree with Bazak here cuz im having the same problem. the door used to work fine but now everytime i try to activate it the pistons EXPLODE. no idea why and i keep trying it over and over again with the same result

Every time? That's more useful. Screenshot it, then. Screenshot everything - the wiring, the surrounding area, the pistons.

hehe old thread come back to life, anyways, ya i never thought of trying to recreate it >.< durrrrrr lol. do you rewire it or load a previous save of your world? is it on smp? there wouldnt happen to dynamite placed near a redstone wire or somesuch?

The same thing happened to me on a survival server... The piston exploded when I tried to push blocks outside my claimed zone. I extended my claim to include the entire area and.... WALA! No more piston xplosions.

Hey guys I just want to let you know this JUST happened to me, on a server, in an area where creepers and TNT Cannot explode (Grief Prevent), in broad daylight, on the top of a mountain. I was making an automatic cobblestone generator using a redstone clock (Infinite redstone loop) and a piston, the piston always works once, but when the loop comes back around it explodes before it can activate, no damage except for the piston. Vanilla Minecraft 1.4.7. THERE IS NO WAY THERE WAS A CREEPER OR TNT! It keeps happening and I can't make my generator now, please help, if required will post a video.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, it happened while I was trying to push a block outside of my land claim... Hmmm.

i think a creeper spawned.maybe not but it is possible
