Carnaxus Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 I realize it's called "vanilla" for a reason, but I just wanna know if OptiFine is included in the "Vanilla" option on the launcher like it is with everything else. If not, I wouldn't be even the slightest bit surprised. Edit: Ok, now this is SUPER weird. I can run ALL the other modpacks just fine, but...apparently running Vanilla on version 1.3.2...lags out and never actually runs correctly?...wut?
Pulse95 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Since you posted in the wrong section, I am going to reply as if this were in the correct section. I agree, lag in Minecraft is terrible and annoying.

I agree, lag in Minecraft is terrible and annoying. ? I'm pretty sharp on this stuff usually, but I would've thought this was the good section for this thread. Everything about Vanilla should be discussed in Cafe Lame, as far as I know. Also, no, Optifine isn't installed.
Carnaxus Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Er...maybe "lags out" isn't the right phrase anyways. It...never loads. Whitescreens. No, I didn't try to add anything to it. Xylord Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Er...maybe "lags out" isn't the right phrase anyways. It...never loads. Whitescreens. No, I didn't try to add anything to it. My first try would be to go in the /techniclauncher folder and delete the vanilla folder to have it get installed again.
Carnaxus Posted September 1, 2012 Author Posted September 1, 2012 Ninja edits FTW!...lol I just now told it to update to 1.3.2. Doesn't that usually make it redownload most if not all of the files?
Xylord Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Ninja edits FTW!...lol I just now told it to update to 1.3.2. Doesn't that usually make it redownload most if not all of the files? Yeah, but it doesn't make it delete other ones that might be causing the problem.
Carnaxus Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 Wellp, that fixed it. Looked like it was gonna do the same thing, but then it loaded correctly. I wonder what caused it to go screwball in the first place? Also...if I wanted to add OptiFine (gotta have my SPHax!), would I need to add ModLoader and all that jargon as well?

Not sure, but all the installation instructions will be on the MCF thread's page.
Carnaxus Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 I should probably try to post more clearly...I always leave stuff out... I know that OptiFine requires at least ModLoader if not Forge; I guess I should assume "Vanilla" from the Technic Launcher doesn't have those either?

Nope, it's exactly the same as if you were launching it from the normal launcher.
Carnaxus Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 Except with slightly easier version control; no MCNostalgia required! Thanks for the help.
