technic launcher wont open

the technic launcher wont open when i try to open it

I am having the same problem. I am on a Dell netbook 64bit Windows 7 2Gb RAM and when ever I click the Technic Launcher all i see is Checcking Launcher Version then it dissapears and then nothing. I have even tried opening it with Java using the .jar file and still no go. What could be the problem as both my other laptops run it fine but this one is not. I have java jre7u6 x64 version so I can't see it being my java that is the problem.

Any help would be highly apreciated and I hope I'm just being a derp.

So, you have a Window 7, that has install a Java Version of 3?

And your anti-virus program is McAFee.

The problem is that you can't open it, and it can't find the java directory.

Hmm this is a tough one..

Disable your McAFee crap, and update your Java to 7!

Okay, what if I don't have McAFee as my anti-virus program? I did update it to java 7, BUT IT NO WORK....

But, anyway, how do you delete the McAFee if you do have it?

i have 64 bit windows 7 and i couldnt open the technic launcher UNTIL!!!!! i downloaded 64 bit java from

You don't have to delete your AV, just disable it/turn it off.
