I have just downloaded and installed Tekkit and have found it a new interesting version of minecraft and thoroughly enjoyed playing it so far. however, as I am a novice to Tekkit, I have no knowledge whatsoever of how to operate it well. if someone would please direct me to a link to a good website or YouTube video telling me what to do and where to start, or even explain it your self I would be very grateful, because I would in the future like to make a good factory etc. please reply, thanks.

Direwolf20 does a modded Let's Play, if YouTube videos are more your thing. He also does spotlights on mods where he generally explains them in pretty good detail.

Start with his season 4 let's play. He uses the most recent iterations of the mods. He does play with a few that are either not multiplayer compatible or in Tekkit, such as Thaumcraft, Mystcraft, and Forestry. They are still cool to watch though.
