tekkit wont download mincraft on the launcher

Description of Problem:

i am trying to launch up tekkit (first timer) and when the loading bar says minecraft.jar it stops at any random percent but never finishes and says update is failed

AVG Is ur problem tekkit doesnt work with AVG. Sorry! just disable or uninstall it until the update is done

Also, you can try to clear your cache.

Ok i fixed it, i had some program that kept blocking it from conecting to the tekkit servers. I uninstalled it :D
