ottermanuk Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 Looking to build a computer that will run 24/7 running a 12-person Tekkit server and do such things as a media server too. What I need to know is what would be the recommended CPU for Tekkit? I've already settled on 4Gb of RAM, which is probably more than enough. BlasterMaster555 Posted September 14, 2012 Share Posted September 14, 2012 A 12 person server can run on a Athlon X2 2.7, but I run my servers on a Phenom II X4 955 3.2 Ghz. They're cheap to buy on ebay and you can use them in Socket AM2+ and AM3 and AM3+ boards with no problems, which makes upgrading easy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
