Tekkit is still the same as reg. minecraft?

o.o well i just downloaded the Thechnic launcher and the tekkit part. got into the game and went to the creative mod... tekkit looks lot like the regular minecraft.... theres no new items. i tried to make some things ( like a the gun stock, and the battle axe) but they didn't show up as a valid item in the complete box... what should i do? cause i can't find the tekkit part of minecraft to delete it and re-install it...

It's located in appdata/roaming/.techniclauncher/tekkit

Delete the tekkit folder and redownload it, also check your firewall settings to make sure Technic isn't being blocked from downloading.
