Unable to allocate more than 1.5MB works sometimes not others.

Launcher Version: technic launcher 1.0.1.3 tekkit

Operating System: Windows 7

Java Version: 64bit

Antivirus Program: AVG

Description of Problem:

When i start up the technic launcher. i only receive 3 memory allocation options up to 1.5MB. This isnt enough to run the game that i have already begun work on. However if i reinstall the technic launcher. the first time i open it it will allow me to allcoate all the options. It only appears to work for the first time and then never the next times unless i reinstall it. im looking for a permanent fix in which i can always have the 2Gb option. ive tried looking for this but obviously i couldnt find an answer.

I run my Technic on 512mb of ram (with 20-30 fps) with full quarries and sorting system and never have any problem .

What kind of setup do you have that needs that much memory.

i have 4 GB of RAM installed. I have no idea how or why it does it. if i try running on anything less that 2GB itll crash and time out.also i am running a multiplayer tekkit server if that makes anymore sense. Its mainly the fact that it only gives me the option for 2GB on the first install and i have to keep redownloading it. Is there a solution or is this a brand new problem?
