technic wont download due to an unknown publisher

Operating System: windows xp

Java Version: java 6 update 35

Antivirus Program: norton 360

Description of Problem:

when i try to download the technic launcher i click run and it imeadiately comes up with another box which says: the publisher could not be verified.Are you sure you want to run this software? so i click run it downloads for a second and just vanishes. ive also tried to save it to my deaktop but when I click on that it just downloads for a bit and vanishes too

Probably a problem with your antivirus program.

Possibly due to your browser, what are you using?

Your problem is =Antivirus Program: norton 360

You will either have to uninstall Norton (which i highly recommend)

or you will have to look up how to get Norton to white list it.

You should look into http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials it is free works very well .
