Is it ok to use Tekkit in a single player world?

I've been playing Technic a bunch lately and recently i was looking at the list of Mods for Tekkit and it is missing several mods that are in Technic. I really don't have the power or the want to go on a server, and i was wondering if i could down load Tekkit and use it as a SSP?
