Will not launch

Launcher Version: looks like 7.2

Operating System: Windows Vista Ultimate

Java Version: 6

Antivirus Program: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Description of Problem:

Whenever I try to run the launcher, it is unable to run the application.

Error Messages:

Unable to Launch Applicatoin

Error Log:

That's basically it. I'd copy what it gives me in the details into the error log, but it won't let me. There's a lot of question mark symbols, though, as if it can't interpret half the symbols.

Uninstall Java 6 and get Java 7 (the newest version) if that doesn't work come back.

Well, I'm looking at the list of downloads and I see that there is no option for a 32 bit computer, like the one I have. That might be a problem ^^;

I see a thing for a Windows x64 download

I also see a thing about a Windows x86 download

does this specifically mean I need 64 bit for this mod?

No there is most definitely a 32 bit download, though I am not sure where it is. Sorry :(

You could also try this workaround that lets you use Java 6: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/incorrect-java-being-used-update-failed-fix.4112/

EDIT: I've tried everything but I still can't get it to work with my 32 bit OS.

Not sure what to tell you. A temporary fix could be to use the .jar instead of the .exe which seems to work

for most people. If we manage to isolate a common cause to 32 bit OS issues then we'll update with a real fix.

Ahh I was wondering about that. Thanks And I agree it should be somewhere (especially on the Java site)
