Is there any way to catch fish using RP?

Yes, the deployer will cast a fishing line and reel it in. However, there is no way to know when the bobber bobs, so you would probably waste/break a whole lot of fishing rods for very few fish.

sorry for necromancy, but did deployer + fishing rod ever work? All it gives me is the sound, no bobber. And a deployer array with fishing rods inside never gave me a single fish.

No, there is no reasonable way to automatically fish in Classic.

However, if you add Powercraft, you can make an automatic fishing machine which runs when you give it fuel.

Yeah, I have also looked at the post date, but this is the only easy solution to the problem.
