Tubes not working

I am trying to make a milker but whenever I split my redstone tubes the items only go through one of the tubes and never turn, whats wrong?

Unlike pipes, items in tubes go to the closest destination.

If you want them to split evenly you need to make the two destinations the same distance away.

Or use some other trick, there are a lot of ways to use tubes, but it is totally worth figuring it out.

Place at the split two transposers in-line with an even distance away from the split. I use this trick to make distributions between two or more destinations.
