mifbifgiggle Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Launcher/pack Version: 0.5.4.6 Operating System: Windows xp 32x Version of Java: java 7 x86 Description of Problem: I can't seem to remain stable on a server. I can join it very briefly, hearing the sound of my character's feet hitting the ground, and then I crash. A few things: -I'm running 32 bit java on a 32 bit OS -I can play technic perfectly fine -I have tried selecting "always use dev builds" -I can't even remain on a server on own computer, but I can host it. -I'm trying to connect to many public servers, all of which are unsuccessful. I can't find anyone having a problem who meets all of these conditions. Does tekkit not support 32 bit java? If so, well wtf?
0 mifbifgiggle Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Not for windows 32 bit. EDIT: nvm. just figured out that x86 is 32 bit...
0 freakachu Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 yes it is. in fact you have 2 different options for installing it. the two windows versions labeled "x86" are the 32-bit versions. one will download the stuff through the installer, the other has everything included already and will simply install.
0 mifbifgiggle Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Ok so now i have java 7, and I tried connecting with java 6 both enabled and disabled. Nothing. I also tried allocating more memory. Nothing. O_o
