Update to Technic 6.0.7 gives error message "Update Failed!"

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit)

Java Version: 1.7.0_03

Antivirus Program: Microsoft Security Essentials

Description of Problem:

In the Technic Launcher, select Technic as the modpack, click Options and set "Manual build selection", then select "6.0.7|1.1" in the build drop-down. Close the options window. When clicking "Login", the launcher shows the progress of "minecraft.jar" downloading. When it gets to a point between 97-100%, a message dialog shows up with the error "Update Failed!" When clicking "OK", I am returned back to the launcher as it appears on startup.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I want to do this "downgrade" to open an old 6.0.7 savefile that fails spectacularly in any more recent version of Technic.

Are you from Turkey or another, non english speaking country? If so there may be an issue with some caracters not regestering and causing it to fail.

I'm from Norway, but I'm using a version of Windows with English language. Also, I have no trouble using the latest version of Technic (v7.2.6), nor did I have any issues when 6.0.7 was the recommended build. I'm fairly certain this is not language-related, but I'm not sure, obviously.

2:Downgrade to technic to 6.0.7

3:Go back to your original java update
