Log Into Tekkit Launcher and just get a white screen

Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit 2.1.1

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.7.3 (Lion)

Version of Java: 1.7.0_04 (64 Bit, 1st in list) & 1.6.0_29-b11-402 (there a two, a 64 Bit one, 2nd in list; and a 32 Bit one 3rd in list)

Description of Problem: When i log into tekkit launcher and click login i just get a white screen! i try deleted techniclauncher folder and re download twice but get same problem

Error Messages: None, just a white screen.

I had the same problem, try deleting the jar launcher (along with the techniclauncher folder) and re-downloading it (and don't rename the jar launcher) Let me know if this works.

I've been trying to fix this same problem for weeks and this worked for me. :D

Have you by any chance ran the new Tekkit server 2.1?

I had this same problem, although the server runs on java 1.7 for mac, the client actually needs 1.6 to run. go into your applications/utilities/java preferences, and switch it back to 1.6, it should still be there.

Also, if you are running a server on the same computer as you play on (as am I) you can load the server while running 1.7, then once it is up, switch into 1.6, and load your client. Supposedly there is a way to set what programs use what version of java, but as of yet I don't know how.

You should put the version that you think you have. If it turns out you have the wrong version...we can't tell you because we don't know.

I appreciate you at least using the report format, so good work on that. A few problems though I'd like you to be aware of. First off, the most important thing about saying what version of java or what OS you have is to tell us 32 bit or 64 bit. If you dont know how to find out google will tell you in a snap.

And secondly, you can't just put "The current version" for version number. We need this number so that when we update, we aren't confused as to which bug reports are for which version. If yours just says "the current version" then your problem is always going to be for the current version, and will confuse things a lot later on.

Ive been getting the same error and when i try to log onto my server it says that I don't have any of the mods installed.
