Pipes and Tanks

sorry if someone has asked this before but i haven't been able to find a solution yet.

I've been playing the latest tekkit for a few days and have realized i cannot connect any form of pipe to a tank. i can hook them up to chests and pump out. But nothing seems to attach itself to a tank.

If i try the same thing in Technic, it works fine. But with tekkit, both single and multiplayer, no luck.

could anyone shine some light on the issue?

it just seems to be Tanks that don't want to make contact, i tried all pipe combinations

You need to use a wooden waterproof pipe powered by an engine to extract anything from a tank (If you're talking about Buildcraft and not Thaumcraft)

Make sure you waterproof your pipe by crafting it together with some pipe waterproofing. Cook cactus in a furnace and then craft the green dye into pipe waterproofing.

yes, i tried wooden waterproof pipe first, followed by every other pipe too

wooden pipe to extract from the lowest tank in the stack. any other pipe into a higher tank than the wooden to insert into the tank.
