vibur Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I just put down some thermopiles in a new world and they are behaving oddly. The output from them is varying wildly going from 0 to max and back down to 0. I have them set up normally (lava underneath, water on 4 sides) but 6 of them aren't providing enough consistent power to run 1 retriever. Anyone have any ideas?

I really only use them to augment the output of Blutricity Solar Panels. Also, be sure that you're outputting the power into a Battery Box, and then to your devices. The devices themselves have a smaller power storage, so you won't maximize the power generation over time.
vibur Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 They are hooked into a battery box and 6 of them should be more than enough to charge the battery box quickly enough to power a retriever. I've had a sorting system with 8 sorting machines running on just 6 thermopiles.
