Update Failed! Error

Launcher Version: 1.0.2.0

Operating System: Windows 7 64 Bit Enterprise Edition

Java Version: 7 64-Bit

Antivirus Program: McAfee 8.7, Enterprise Edition. On Access Scan (OAS) is Enabled.

Description of Problem:

I can't go into any mod packs other than Tekkit. An error window pops up after downloading minecraft.jar 3 times, and it says Update Failed.

First off, did you bother reading the sticky at the top of this page title "Update Failed" and a solution? Also, try using pastebin.

Edit: Apparently it is no longer stickied. Go look at it anyways.

It is not stickied anymore because that particular issue has been resolved (the OP might not have updated his launcher yet though) Reading the CP&S sticky would also be benificial

You should be able to just update your launcher and have it fixed. If not make sure all of your AV's and firewalls are off.
