Steps to reproduce: - Download the mac tekkit launcher OR the jar tekkit launcher - Log in and allow tekkit to download its files - After tekkit downloaded its files, select to launch Tekkit The following occurs: The launcher crashes when the tekkit window appears. 0 Towelie Posted October 31, 2012 Author Posted October 31, 2012 Any idea how i can specify to launch it with java6 (since i'd preffer minecraft to run on java7 since it's so much faster). I'm a mac noob, been using Windows all my life :)
0 Hushful Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 There is another thread in the forums with this exact same problem. Search for it and it will have how to revert back. Mac discontinued their Java support in 10.8 so you can't use Java7. I also haven't used a Mac, I just know how to fix it.

Description of Problem:
The launcher crashes when the tekkit window appears.
Steps to reproduce:
- Download the mac tekkit launcher OR the jar tekkit launcher
- Log in and allow tekkit to download its files
- After tekkit downloaded its files, select to launch Tekkit
The following occurs:
The launcher crashes when the tekkit window appears.
The tekkit window is visible for only 0.5 seconds before it dissapears along with the launcher window
