I have been having the same problem. After I turned off my AV and my firewall, I was able to download tekkit, and the launcher worked just fine. Then, I turned my AV and firewall back on, and the same problem happened again. How can I use the launcher without turning off my AV and firewall?

Sorry to hear that. Try posting your own bug report.

There is no bug report because when I open the Technic Launcher, it says "could not connect to minecraft.net," so it's launching fine. It is just that my AV is preventing the launcher from connecting to the Internet.

No, there is no bug report because you didn't make one... What did you think I meant when I said "POST your own report"? Also, just Google how to allow a program through your AV
