Mixup with normal minecraft

Description of Problem:

I've had tekkit installed but removed it after a while, my normal vanilla minecraft now shows iron shovels as silicon. This must be a mixup somewhere but i've removed the .minecraft AND the .tekkit directories already, the .minecraft dir serveral times. Are there any more places that need removal?

pretty much this. the technic launcher literally does nothing to normal minecraft installs. there is no way your problem is technic launcher related.
