Update fails on Vanilla and Voxelbox mod packs

Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Java Version: Version 7 update 9 1.7.0_09-b05 both 64 and 32 bit

Antivirus Program: None.

Description of Problem:

When trying to launch VoxelBox mod pack or Vanilla instance the the launcher downloads the minecraft jar file but when it reaches 99%-100% it comes up with an error message "Update Failed!"

Well unless I'm very much mistaken to use a 32bit browser, like firefox, and other 32bit java applications you have to have 32bit JRE installed. I've removed it to test however and it makes no difference to the launcher. Same error, same error log.

I've also searched for MD5 mismatches on the forums, and various other keywords like checksum, and have found people being told to disable their AV and firewall which I have already done.

Thanks for the suggestions Hashful but could you point me to any threads that have solutions other than those?

Sorry about the name mix up Hushful. Thanks pointing me to that thread. Looks like I'm one of the unfortunate folks with a malformed URL though :S Ah well. I'll keep on trawling.
