I re-downloaded the launcher after getting a new laptop, and after launching it once and downloading a few packs, I closed the turned off my laptop that night, and when I tried to log back in, it gave me an error that read:
"An error occurred while attempting to reach authserver.mojang.com"
This normally wouldn't have concerned me, but when I went online to make sure that Mojang's authentication servers were down, it said that they were up. So I logged into minecraft with the vanilla launcher, and everything worked fine. So I tried deleting and reinstalling the launcher, and that didn't work. I tried closing out of Steam and Skype, then re- launching it, and I still came up with nothing. Does anyone have any clue how to fix this?
