LegacyMCYT321
So, my friend is trying to play Tekkit Lite with me on my MultiCraft server, he is very wary about what he does with computers and doesn't want another whole background process, just for Tekkit Lite. everyone should know by now that there are strength in numbers, and even one background process can slow your computer down dramatically. My point is that He doesn't want to install java for that reason. He also would like to know if he can play Tekkit Lite and allocate any amount of ram, without java of-course, so is there a way he can do this. Thank you. Moderators AetherPirate Posted March 20, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2016 He absolutely needs Java, and it will use a lot of resources while running modded Minecraft. There is no work-around. No Java no Minecraft.

Moderators AetherPirate Posted March 20, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 20, 2016 What else does he need to do with his PC while running Minecraft? The Java processes end after closing the game and launcher anyway. Java doesn't run unless you launch software written in Java.
