Kommunističeskiĭ Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Is there any known way to stop hacking in Tekkit? As far as I know, both NoCheat and Orebfuscator cause more problems than they're worth. Is there anything to do at all besides sitting with a client open 24/7 and randomly spying on people? There are too many people with fly hacks, speed hacks, xray, etc nowadays. Speed hacks at full speed can even crash a server, easily. Quote
Nixsy Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Simplest way would be not to let them on your server in the first place. But if that fails use vanish no packet to keep an eye on new players or suspect players. Also add something like anti xray (don't know if this works well). Quote
aldrigviking Posted November 17, 2012 Posted November 17, 2012 get the TekkitRestrict plugin if you're lazy. Otherwise, a good configured NoCheatPlus should do the trick. Quote

Orebfuscator doesn't work well. Previous versions had option to add custom blocks but the new ones don't, so for example if you have a pipe with stone behind it, the stone will show up as random ores. get the TekkitRestrict plugin if you're lazy. The only way to enable jetpack/qjump is by completely disabling the fly/speed checks... although now that you say it, it can help with the 1000-blocks-per-second runs that cause crashes, so you maybe onto something. :) Quote

Sorry my bad, What I meant by Anti-Xray was http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/anti-x-ray/. It limits the amount of ores a player can mine over time. I guess you would have to tinker with the settings to fit your server, But I think it could do the job. Quote
