Can't play Tekkit. Technic launcher goes to white screen after I click login, then closes.

Launcher Version: Mac versions from technic

Operating System: Mac 0S X 10.7.5

Java Version: lastest version

Antivirus Program: None as far as I know.

Description of Problem:

I use a Mac and have played tekkit on it before. I used to just play on normal tekkit till a friend of mine set up a server for me. About a month ago I tried to open it one day and It wouldn't work. Since then he has had a look at it and can't find any problems. We tried loads of things, including reinstalling the technic launcher, keeping a copy of my technic and tekkit files on a memory stick, removing the memory stick from the mac and then deleting all tecknic and tekkit files and downloading & reinstalling the technic launcher and files. Im checking my Java files right now but it says I have the latest version of Java.

Whenever I open the technic launcher and try to log into Tekkit, not even my server on it, my minecraft guy is on the left and my user name and password are already typed in. I press log in and the screen goes white then the program closes. Im not sure what to do. Help please.

im having the same problem and im on mac aswell so maybe there is something to do with the new update with mac so that you cant play??? i dont know but i want to play technic and it just wont work... :(

Are you using Java 7? If so you need to downgrade to Java 6 (from Apple) There is a guide on how to do that on these forums.

On Macs, the latest version when the launcher was created was 6 and Apple in its infinite wisdom decided to remove backwards compatibility (AFAIK) Keep in mine that Apples version 6 of java is different that Oracles version 6

I downgraded to Java SE 6u37 but I'm still getting the white screen after clicking Login.
