Tekkit on old worlds?

I have a world that ive been working on for a while. and was wondering if i install tekkit, would i be able to play that world with all the tekkit mods and addons? since theres new ores n what not, would i be able to find them? or would i have to just start a fresh world?

will you be able to play that world? yes.

But any parts of that world that you can already been to in the past, have already been rendered/created/whatever, will not have any of the new ores and crap in them.

So... I would start a new world.

ah ok. well thats what i was figuring would happen. dam i really wanted to keep my old stuff haha guess il just start a new one. thanks for the info :)

There's hardly a point to keep old stuff from vanilla minecraft in my opinion. Unless you have some really kick ass buildings or something. In tekkit, everything can be easily gotten once you know how to do things. For example, in vanilla, diamonds are valuable. In tekkit, I pump out a red matter every second... 1 red matter = 57 diamonds...
