No modpacks will load -- Help please

So, I've been seeing this issue around the forums, and I've searched long and hard to try and find a resolution to the problem. 

When I attempt to load a modpack, any modpack, it begins the download and does all that. Then i click play, it starts up MC, loads the initialization stuff, then closes back to the technic launcher screen and never lets me play the game.

I really would love to play some classic bigdig or "massive dig", but can't get either to work.

Well, it's really quite easy, your game is running out of available RAM while starting, and that is fixed by allocating more RAM. In case you cannot allocate more RAM, you would need to install Java8 64-bit, which can be downloaded here. Restart your launcher after installing, and allocate 2-3 GB.
