Hey guys,

Please understand that I am really new and need some help.

I recently spent a few hours putting together a pack, when I finally got it all done I launched it on the Technic launcher only to find that it was plain. old vanilla Minecraft. I relaunched the pack and couldn't find anything that would cause this issue. But it still was here.

Here is a link to the Dropbox,

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ev8papkhc6vifyr/modpack.zip?dl=0

One of the things I did change it the www. I changed it to,

https://dl.dropbox.com (This was only changed in the edit modpack area on my profile, it was reccomended to get the pack to load)

For some reason the mods wont load, I dont know if there is something I did wrong? The pack is aimed to run for 1.7.10 and I think I did everything right.

If you can offer any help I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Ghost

Modpack.jar is now actually called modpack.jar.jar (Just name it "modpack", but make sure it is still a .jar file).

Awesome! Thank you going to try it now. Just out of curiosity why are there 2 .jar?

The guide tells people to rename the forge.jar to modpack.jar. However, as the file is already a .jar, it actually tells you to rename forge to modpack. People rename to modpack.jar instead, and that's where it breaks.

Okay, thats done! I will get back to you and see if it work!

Thank you so much!

As I said I am really new to this... So this may come across as a really stupid question.

If I wanted to update my modpack (add new mods, remove mods etc.) How would I go about it? Would I make the changes to the files then re-upload to dropbox with a new link? Could I just update the files with the new modpack.jar.jar? Or do I need to completely delete it and restart?

Thanks

You will have to add/delete the mods, rezip the file, upload it again, and change the dropbox link accordingly. Then bump the version number of your pack, so people get an update prompt when they start your pack.

Some mods are zipped yes. Most mods are .jars though. Don't worry about it, unless it tells you "unzip me pls". Yes, I really saw that...

Ok, that seemed to work... The pack started and downloaded completely but when I tried to play the pack it loads for a minute, the launcher disapears like its going to load the game then quickly re-appears. Would you mind playing the pack and seeing if you can help me? Or if you know what to do could you help me?

This is a link to the pack please help me!

Here is the link to the dropbox

Please allow an hour or so for the Launcher to update to recognize the update I just released. (I am sorry for the inconvenience) thank you

You forgot to add OpenModsLib, you need atleast version 0.7.1.

Lets see if that works! What is the OpenLibMod for? A library for mods?

It is a required library for Openblocks.

Ok, so I reinstalled and added OpenLib... When I hit play a window opened and said it was preparing once that window disappeared the modpack tab of Technic opened up again. Same as before. Here is a link to the pack (Just so you know it is a different pack with the same files)

And here is a link to the files

Do you think you could help me?

You added FastLeafDecay to your modpack, but this is integrated into RandomThings since 1.7.10. Therefore, it calls the same mod twice, and that causes issues.

Also, you need to update your version of CodeChickenCore, as it is outdated. The game will not start without you updating it.

What version should I use? the most recent that is 1.7.10?

Best do that, yes.

Hey again! So I did that and the pack loaded and started up after loading a few sound related items and rendering a few things a message pops up and says "IChun util needs to be at least version 4.0.0" This has happened 4 times and I have updated the mod that it relates too. Is there a way I can see all of the mods that need to be updated? I am going to keep doing this till you get back to me. If there is an easier way would you tell me? Thanks again!

Would you mind testing it again? Its still in the Vertigo pack...

Well, its actually just update said mod, retest, update next mod, retest, until you get to the fun part with the ID conflicts.

Edit: Checked, this time, the version of OpenModsLib used is incompatible with OpenBlocks, just grab the latest ones here: https://openmods.info/

Don't call it modpack.jar.jar, just call it modpack. No jars after the name.

EDIT: IT WORKS? THANKS MATE

When I didn't rename modpack.jar.jar, it didn't dwonload anything, after rename it, I saw it downloaded it because of it took too much time than last time.

But tell me what to do, it launchs just a Minecraft Vanilla ...

Then, name it modpack doesn't do anything, just launch a vanilla game.

Here is my stuff:
