Launcher takes over an hour to detect a new modpack version

I upload a new .zip file to dropbox, change the link in the modpack settings accordingly, and update the version number to prompt the launcher to update. For some reason, however, it takes a while for the launcher to figure out there's a new version, even when the modpack's page on the Technic site correctly notes that there's been an update.

Restarting the launcher and/or reinstalling the pack does not help. Is there a way to force the launcher to check for a new version? This is getting really frustrating.

Have you waited a few minutes before restarting? Have you tried deleting and re-adding the pack?

I have restarted every 10 minutes or so for over an hour. I have deleted and re-added the pack multiple times.
