Bug?

Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit v2.0/2.1

Operating System:Windows 7 Starter 32 Bit

Version of Java: Jv7 32bit

Description of Problem: Everytime I try to open the launcher the message Checking for updates pops up for a half second then nothing happens. I tried it alot and restarted my computer. Redownloaded it twice and I don't know if it's my computer or what.

Also, this should go in the launcher section, since it is the launcher that is not working. If you were to visit the launcher section you might notice this sticky: Topic: Common Problems (And their solutions)

It happens to include a section that sounds very much like what you are experiencing:

Problem: When using the launcher, It opens, says "Checking Launcher Version" And then shuts down. Spout does not open afterwards.

Reason: Unknown.

Solution: Go to AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher and open the techniclauncher.jar file in java. It will open the launcher, and will let you play technic through spout.
