The Launcher won't start.

Description of Problem:

When i try to start tekkit it says "Could not find main class. Program will exit." I looked at the .techniclauncher file in the bin but is empty.

Error Messages:

Could not find main class. Program will exit.

Have you tried updating your java and reinstalling the Technic launcher?

Also, the Operating System field is actually meant to contain your operating system(EG Windows 8, Fedora etc.), not system specs. It's probably in there somewhere, but I'll just hope that it's irrelevant for now.

I'm guessing you're using Windows 8? Instead of opening the launcher via the .exe, try using the .jar located at

C:\Users\....\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher

Or you can download the .jar standalone from the Technic Pack website.

I tried that but it still says "Could not find main class. Program will exit." and the .techniclauncher folder is empty.
