Since Tekkit client updated a couple of days ago, can't log in

Description of Problem:

One or two days ago the Tekkit launcher asked if I wanted to upgrade. So I said yes, and now I cannot log into the Tekkit Launcher, I get a login error.. HOWEVER: Java has not changed, AND I *CAN* log into the plain vanilla Minecraft client just fine, just cannot log into the Tekkit one. (I also reset my minecraft password just to be sure, yet can only log into vanilla Minecraft.

Unable to authenticate account with Minecraft.net

Note that I also do NOT have any firewall software installed.

When you open the launcher does it open or does some error message show up?
