One guy said that it was probably a java error and I should reinstall it. I reinstalled it, it still happens.

You need to update your Java to update 9. I don't think that is the correct Launcher presently.

Also, save your saves, and try a clean reinstall of your launcher. Nullpointers can usually be fixed by a good reinstall.

Hey its that one guy who said to reinstall Java. I actually meant you should double check to ensure you have the correct Java and reinstall the launcher. Like Bride said try a reinstall and if that doesn't work post here.

How do I reinstall java? I downloaded jre 7u9 and it got me this file that I can't open that is in a zipped file (which I can open). I am fairly certain I have the right version though. How do I reinstall the launcher cleanly? Sorry, I'm technologically disabled..

Don't worry about Java. First delete the .techniclaucher folder. Then just reinstall the launcher from the website
