Launcher on Mac not working?!

Hi there. I just downloaded tekkit after years of not having it and i cannot wait to play it again. But the launcher keeps on freezing on the logo and won't do anything else.

 

I had to download a JDK for it to open it at all but now won't go past the logo.

 

I would love some help because the technic pack is amazing!

Considering JDK, you have a mac. Get JDK 8 instead of the 9/10 you got now.

Just downloaded Java SE Development Kit 8u171 for mac but still the same problem.

I have the same problem and can't figure out what to do. When I click on the logo, the top of my screen says I'm clicking on "LauncherMain" so my computer knows that the launcher is trying to open, but nothing happens
