Technic Launcher Issues

I've been having issues with Technic launcher. At first a message came out saying it needed something called "java run-time entertainment 1.5.0" for Technic Launcher to work, so I downloaded it (but  idk why this was needed) now a vague message comes out saying "could not find main class" does anyone know what is going on here and how this can be solved?

Protip: When you download java, only download java 8, not java 9, 10 or 11.
