Question

The launcher believes I'm running on the 32 bit version of Java and won't let me allocate more RAM, but I'm not. My Minecraft, Java, and computer system all read out 64 bit. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft, Java, and the launcher but that's not working; any recommendations on how to fix this?

Have you checked under Launcher Options > Java Settings that you have really selected 64 bit java?

Are you sure you have 64 bit java, as 32 bit java is downloaded by default?

Yes, your OS might be 64 bit, but java still downloads 32 bit java by default.
