Can't update my launcher

Launcher Version: 1.2.5

Operating System: Windows 7 32 Bit

Java Version: Most Recent

Antivirus Program: AVG

Description of Problem:

I keep re-downloading the launcher, but for whatever reason the launcher always comes out as 1.2.5

Do you mean the modpacks are at 1.2.5? If so, change the build you are using. (Keep in mind some of the packs have not been updated yet)
