[B#910] File version.json not found

Trying to load up game, everything runs smoothly until

I have the Technic Launcher opened and press play on Hexxit (it's not just hexxit this is across other mudpacks and servers) everything loads up perfectly fine except in the technic launcher console this pops up in yellow the first line and a darker color for the rest of the typing (vs everything else in white)

The start screen still loads up and I'm able to select a server or create a world but it's all glitched out, the world, my person. I can walk around but it's not playable

 

Please help, don't know what else to do. I've reloaded everything, redownloaded everything from java to launcher 

I have no idea what this "missing file" is
