(After Reinstalling Java/TechnicLauncher) Tekkit lite wont load passed a white screen

I tried downloading the launcher .exe again and it worked, and tekkit lite loads just fine

Operating System: Windows 8

Java Version: 1.7.0_10-b18

Description of Problem:

So when I try to launch tekkit lite it loads with the "Hello" screen and that exits and the tekkit lite window pops up. After that I can't get passed a white screen. I don't even get to the "Mojang" screen. I have deleted the .techniclauncher file and re-installed java. I still can't get it to load. Tekkit classic will load just fine.

I have tried downloading the new version of it from technicpack.net but the .exe doesn't work so I have to use the Linux/jar file but when I tried to download that one it was the .zip file not a .jar file.

You are using internet explorer as your browser I assume. IE is an awful awful browser and one of the many crappy things it does is turn .jars into .zips when downloading them. Try using another browser or renaming the .zip to .jar. From the message at the top were you able to get the .exe working afterall?

just right click the zip and go to 'open program with...' then go to java (you may have to search for it in the 'brows files' button), once you make it always open using java instead of any .zip program then you can play...i had the same prob first time I downloaded technic launcher just look out for tekkit light and voltz...they don't work...no like when you open ether one it just stays as a white screen...always...white...currently trying to find a solution through the forums but currently nothing also im not a coding expert so i can't go into that regine.

Keep in mind, minecraft runs really really poorly on 32 bit java. If you have a 32 bit system like you both do, it's safe to expect slower performance and sometimes sluggish fps or nasty ticks. It may also be the issue with loading it. It's hard to say.

May be because of my cruddy graphics carp being the reason but that's unlikely, i can run tribes ascend on full graphics with lil to no lag at all...except particles make the game lag A LOT although my graphs card is so bad i can't even run amnesia the dark decent let alone launch it also it isn't my possessor because that updates all the time and is very fast whereas my graphics card hasent updated for 3 years and i'v only had my laptop for 1 year, I tried all possible ways of updating it but non of them worked ALSO to make matters worse i can't replace my graphics card because its integrated.

I have a 64-bit. But for some reason it registers as a 32-bit. I have got it resolved. I just downloaded the .exe and it worked but on my other computer it wouldn't work.
