I have been trying for the past hour to get the technic launcher to launch off of my 64 bit jre, and have figured something out. When I removed both versions of java from my machine, when the launcher ran through possible locations of the jre so that it can run, I noticed that it checks the (x86) program files folder first. If the launcher knows that the OS being used is 64 bit, why on earth would it be made to search in the 32 bit jre location first? That seems very counter intuitive, and in practice makes it extremely tough to make the launcher run on the correct jre build. Is this intentional?
