Mastergalen
Does anyone have any tips for reducing tick lag on the server? Currently my server only has 8 Ticks per second.
blazorfire
More Ram Allocation to Server. More Ram on PC Rent out VPS for more Ram. or... Disable plugins and make more room for server. To Put more ram to Server Right click Launch.bat and put this in it- java -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -jar Tekkit.jar gui pause That will put 1024Mb (1G) If you have more ram you can do more. (512=512MB; 1024=1GB; 1536=1.5GB; 2560=2.5GB; 3072=3GB; 5120=5G) Make sure you have enough to Play minecraft yourself though. eg. You have 3G Ram, put only like 2-1G. Mastergalen
Well I have 3 GB of RAM allocated to the server, of which only 1GB is used.
Krid
Minecraft's pegging the CPU core it's on, isn't it. Not much you can do about that since MC doesn't have multiprocessing support. Disabling chunk loading blocks might help a bit, though.

Mastergalen
What I'm also interested in is whether other server hosters are experiencing this problem too?
