manbearpig1114 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 I am attempting to power water mills, but deployers are not working on the server so I'm trying to work around redpower. The basic set up is watermills. I have water coming out of an aqueous accumulator into buildcraft pipes, and I'm wondering if it is possible to change the water in the pipes into buckets of water to move them into the water mills *i have no use of deployers* Quote
oniakki Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 In the same mod with the Aqueous Accumulator is a block called the Liquid Transposer that can take from a pipe and put it in a bucket/cell/capsule/etc. Quote
Michael101 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Did they change water mills? I normally just pipe the water into them without any problems. Quote
manbearpig1114 Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 you cant directly pump water into water mills only into water strainers Quote
manbearpig1114 Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 The liquid transposer works great! Any ideas on how to get the buckets out. i cant use a retriever- idk if theres anything like that in buildcraft Quote
BLAZE MkIV Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Use the control tab to tell it which side to automatically dump stuff out. Quote
manbearpig1114 Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 I got the entire system working using advanced wooden pipes, insertion pipes, diamond pipes, and iron pipes. it looks absolutely insane. thanks for the help! Quote
Michael101 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Why not use a simple redpower based watermill system, they've been around forever... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2gijrRxKkw Quote
BLAZE MkIV Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Exactly just replace the deployer with the accumulator. Your server admin will thank you. Quote
Michael101 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Back in 1.2.5 I've also used similar setups for 'condenser lava cells into an array of geogens'. I've also done setups using logipipes to craft empty buckets into full ones, sink the full ones into geogens/watermills, then have the empties route back to the filler for the next round. Quote
